Many businesses have turned to trying to “fit in” with the Internet culture in order to grab people’s attention, therefore, turning to memes and cute cat photos to gain actions on the posts they have shared. Usually the thought behind this is to gain and/or increase followers and likes, but who are you truly attracting?

According to the Law of Attraction it states:

“The law of attraction is the name given to the belief that “like attracts like” and that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts, one can bring about positive or negative results.”

If this theory is then applied to our social thinking perhaps we would earn more positive results from our investment in social media and actually obtain an ROI that is appropriate and more accurate for your business.

Every business is looking to increase their chances of a possible lead towards a sale; after all, social networks are the most recent and effective way to market your brand. Thus, you need to become a resource to like-minded people and people within your own community offline.

Instead of going after the entire Internet, attract those who are interested in what you sell by posting relevant content such as tips, facts, history and find creative ways to share your products.

This sort of social law of attraction also pertains to your local community. If you want people within your local area to visit your physical location then you need to post about your community.

“Like attracts like”, so become likable to a targeted group of people that is relevant to your business by posting content that they can relate to, content that evokes a memory or an emotion.

Attract people who are truly interested in your business due to a commonality that connects you and use the social law of attraction to gain the attention of the right kind of people for your business.
