A Fearsome Death Star Planetarium A Fearsome Death Star Planetarium

Our most coveted fictional universe is far, far away, yet easily revisited on DVD or Blu-Ray when the Star Wars mood strikes us (which it does repeatedly). We may like or loathe this moon-sized space station, known as the Death Star, but we have to admit that its capability of destroying a planet with a single beam is pretty impressive.

This super-weapon originated fully completed in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, its purpose was known as the Galactic Empire’s ultimate weapon and was eventually destroyed. Four years later set in The Return of the Jedi, a new Death Star is attempted to be built by the Empire, but never is completed throughout the course of the film, and is ultimately destroyed by the Rebels.

Oddly, the particular position of the Death Star’s super laser is unidentified and although the Death Star was an “out-of-this-world” space station, it proved difficult for its model makers who used a combination of images, completed and partial sectionals as well as matte paintings since only 137-centimeters of the model was finalized.

There have been many replicas of the Death Star that included playing cards, playsets, LEGO models and even a flying model rocket, but nothing will encapsulate your Star Wars longing like the Death Star Planetarium.

This planetarium display’s the Star Wars galaxy upon your walls so you can feel as though you are within the galactic universe that we have all come to know and love. This 5.5″ diameter and 7″ tall projector might be small but its projection is colossal. It is also a dual purpose planetarium which easily allows you to switch between displaying the Star Wars Galaxy to viewing our Earthly night sky upon your walls.

With 3 AA batteries you are able to showcase your fearsome Death Star Planetarium anywhere within your home without having to be tied to an outlet. Whether your mood strikes you for the fictional universe we yearn for far, far away or the night sky; this Death Star Planetarium will light up your home brighter than a light saber and more spectacular than imagined.
